Roads from Coyhaique to the south are gravel, except Coyhaique - Cerro Castillo-Puerto Ibáñez where is paved. They are narrow roads, sometimes with a lot of
holes where driving speed is around 50 km/h. It is not  recommended to drive
when it gets dark because there are no light signals. 
The indicated times do not include stops: you should add extra time for taking photos, lunching or even for repairing a puncture.Consider enough time to drive to your destination in order to enjoy the gorgeous landscapes of Patagonia.

Useful information before arriving at Puerto Guadal

 

Bus schedules may change and seats are limited. You must contact the bus company and book your ticket in advance.

Travel with cash. There are no ATMs in Puerto Guadal.
ATMs for all cards only in Coyhaique. In Cochrane and Chile Chico only Mastercard is accepted.
If you come from Argentina, don´t forget to change Argentinian money in Chile Chico.

In Puerto Guadal there are several services: mobile phone coverage (Entel company), supermarkets, restaurants, gas station and free Internet at the public Library.

We are located in an uphill road, 1,5 km from the village... that´s why when you arrive you will be rewarded with wonderful views of the lake and the mountains.

Autumn in Patagonia. It may be cold or raining, but it is such a beautiful season to come: landscape turns to red, yellow, orange and purple… and the snow-capped mountains became even more white.
